    Pros +

    • This wasn’t my first stay here, and it definitely won’t be my last. The rooms are lovely, the internet is rock-solid, and I even ended up meeting a really interesting neighbor while I was there. It’s become my go-to place whenever I’m in Ubud
    • Location is good, specious room, I had delux room
    • As a solo traveller, I wanted to take some time off to relax and be absorbed in books & yoga. It was very important for me to be away from the bustle and Outpost is well located for that, its well located to offer a peaceful vibe but also in walking distance to nice cafes and great yoga places. The property has a nice balinese style and a big lawn and a pool area which was great to relax. The staff's hospitality is beyond words, they made me feel at home and also shared great local trips. The room is spacious, clean with good wifi. The communal space is a nice touch for wanting to meet other people & the whatsapp group allowed me to connect with other outpost members. I was even able to walk to their cowork space for some focus time with reliable wifi which I cannot rely on cafes. The space was quiet and the day pass is fairly priced. All in all an amazing stay, great location and amenities, good value for money with access to cowork and an engaged community of other digital nomads. Highly recommend & I will be back : )

    Cons -

    • I stayed one night, for me all was fine
    • Lots of flies in the room, noise easily passing through the door and the walls, and noise from the restaurant next door.10-20 minutes from the center with bike, it's not too bad but across 3+ days it will cost you some vacation timeWIFI doesn't work across all the room (in bed it did work)
    • It is old and the rooms are not well maintained at all. There is a tonne of corrosion and barely any decent windows. The furniture is old and the bathrooms are not nice. The amenities are also limited and there are no bathroom supplies already provided or towels that are not stained. We stayed in a room on the second floor for reference.

Overall it's an ok room, and a nice garden, the staff were niceThe shower is goodAlthough it's a bit far from center, there are many good restaurants around

Everything! Free coffee and tea always available, rooms are very nice and clean, having a kitchen to cook when we wanted to, plenty of coworking space, beautiful gardens with a relaxing pool area, fast WiFi, restaurant with live music, and lots of other restaurants within walking distance. This was our favorite place to stay in Bali.

When we went to cook something, we noticed some of the pots and pans were put away without being completely clean and so there was some mold on them. But we just washed the ones we wanted before using them and it was fine.

Excellent staff, good location, this place has other locations for co-working and has good events. Drinking Water is provided too. Shower water was clean.

The bed had bedbugs unfortunately. Stairs get really slippery when wet and I fell down them. Adding some grip to them would be a good idea to prevent injury. The standard room bathroom gets entirely wet when you shower, after upgrading to the deluxe room the shower was much better as it had its own section.

The location is great, close to the quiet part of the Monkey forest. Great coffee and restaurants near by. Shower was really good!

The room acoustic is poor; I could hear the neighbor chatting on their phone. I had an ant colony in the bathroom and by the coffee corner.

    6HazalPosted on: 10-3-2023

The Staff is super helpful. The location is great really near to the monkey forest but far from the center enough to be quite.

Our room smelled mold but they were kind enough to change our room when we contacted the front desk. In general the space is a little outdated.

Really spacious roomsGreat location, out the way but within walked distance to a few cafes/restaurants Helpful staff, Left my AirPods there and they helped get them over to me

    4HakobyanPosted on: 9-25-2023

Only staff, the yard, and the view from balcony

Insects all over the room. All the corners were filled with lots of small spiders and ants that got into all my stuff. They were all over my luggage, I didn’t have a single clothes that wasn’t covered by the spiders. Worst travel experience in my entire life. Still feel the disgust even after 10 days have past since I left that place. The bathroom was stinking. And want to mention that I’ve got skin disease while living there. It may be from bathroom water, or maybe the dirty things in there. Still not sure.Do a favor to yourself and don’t ruin your trip by going there.

The suites themselves are quite nice! Quite large with areas to sit and work if required. The property also features quite a few common areas where we met other guests and remote-workers which was a positive!

Outpost advertises a co-working space which can be accessed at a discounted rate when staying here. It's advertised as a short 5 minute walk away from the stay, but in reality its closer to a 10-12 minute walk on a busy road which was not that enjoyable (especially before work in the morning) - We chose to instead to work from the common space on the property and within the rooms themselves which was also nice

    8RodericPosted on: 9-7-2023

Its situated in a more quiet part of Ubud area with very nice restaurants nearby. Monkey forrest is around the corner

We got the big villa which is ok.But somehow the interior design /floorplan felt unlogic. Big is not always better.

when we arrived later in the evening, they could not find our booking - something that happened for the first time to us, although regularly travelling with booking since years ... they managed to quickly prepare another room for us, which was a category below. as it was obviously not clear, what will happen for the rest of our days, we decided to cancel the booking after one night and change hotels. they didn´t really seemed to be bothered by that. at a first glance the place also didn´t seem very well-maintained....

great location at the backside, but quite area, of the monkey forest

    9Nicolaou-newmanPosted on: 8-26-2023

Location and the size of the rooms. Everything accessible. Very well kept.

    5MoiraPosted on: 8-11-2023

It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

For the price breakfast should definitely been included. We were asked daily to settle the whole bill from our first arrival ( stayed four days). The pool was dirty. The villa that we stayed was supposed to be self contained but there was no kettle to boil water and little equipment in the kitchen.

    7RabiaPosted on: 8-2-2023

The garden is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious

Matress was very bad and uncomfortable

    9IsabelPosted on: 8-2-2023

The staff were very nice and helpful. I also liked the location, it's in a quiet neighborhood, near the coworking space, and a few restaurants. It was raining almost the entire time I was there, so I really appreciate the big balcony in my room. The room is huge and wifi is strong.

The bathroom ceiling had a leak so there was a puddle in the bathroom when it rained.

    4RachelPosted on: 7-23-2023

-Friendly, personable young staff-Excellent location, near monkey forest and out of the rat-race of central Ubud-King sized bed-Proximity to great restaurants and co-working area (mother, blend, warung coconut, suka, ibu susu, black sheep, warung bi pasih, warung papatong)-Reasonable mini-bar prices-Nice, easy scooter parking-Walking around the beautiful Nyah Kunung village-Walking on the monkey forest shortcut road to access central Ubud-Seeing monkeys at sunrise & sunset (best time for little ones to watch monkey antics for free!)

-Standard rooms are run down, mouldy, smelly and need urgent renovation. I had a better room in Kuta where I paid $35/night; far less than half the room I was charged at the Outpost!-Room 106 (standard room) steer clear of this room.-Lack of transparency of staff... on arrival, I asked for a 'quiet' room and was assured the room we were allocated was quiet, but I could 'look and check'. One can not ascertain if a room is quiet by looking in the middle of the day when nobody is around. I specifically mentioned that I wanted a room positioned away from music (as I had read reviews about the volume of live music) and was informed that music would stop by 9pm and it did (at the Outpost) but not the neighbouring property. I was not informed there would be extreme noise from next door, right next to our room.-Room 106 has no insulation via curtains, floor rugs or doors and music from the neighbouring property *KUNA Backpackers* can be heard straight through the walls, doors and windows despite wearing ear plugs and noise-cancelling headphones. The music and tv volume from KUNA was ridiculously loud and went until 10pm on most nights of our 7 night stay. The wall of our room is the wall KUNA projects their movies on and their newly renovated pool yard has limited materials to act as sound proofing-Mouldy bathroom; shower walls, grouting & floor / basin / walls-Sewerage smell in bathroom - the hotter the room gets the worse the smell gets + toilet smells like old urine-Rattling of air-conditioner during the night loud enough to wake us from deep sleep-Hard, inner-spring mattress was uncomfortable and is SO outdated (no hotel that charges what Outpost does has these anymore!)-Join in middle of bed-Linen and towels were old, marked/stained-Cleaning only every 2 days - cleaners forgot our first scheduled clean and we had to request.

A really wonderful place. Huge rooms, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Beautiful gardens with great pool and great restaurant. Loved every minute of my stay
